Shirra & Joe :: Wadsworth Wedding

Planning an outdoor wedding for a July afternoon can sometimes be a little tricky with the always-impending threat of a thunderstorm. But if you are one of the lucky ones, who avoids the storm, it can be beautiful.

Joe and Shirra…were the lucky ones.

Wendi hung out with Joe and the guys before the I do’s.

Shirra and Mom having a moment just before her big walk down the aisle.

The outdoor space at the Wadsworth is unrivaled. It was the perfect backdrop for their ceremony.

I love how Shirra looks over the crowd of guest to get a look at Joe.

Wendi’s view:

The emotion that Joe and Shirra shared was exactly what I love to capture at a wedding. Look how happy they are:

Onto a little alone time: well, alone time with Wendi and me!

They even let us in on the secret handshake..lol.

Ok.. I’ve worked with Joe pretty closely for the past 5 years… and NEVER have I seen such happiness and smiles, as I did this day.

A sunset view of the Wadsworth…

A view after dark…

And finally… the last shot of the night. Love my Blue Team! :)

Liz & Tim + Brady

In this crazy heat wave, we all thought that we would be smarter than the weather and start at 7:30 a.m. Thank goodness we did.. because I think if we had started much later we would have all turned into puddles! Liz and Tim looked fabulous for it being upwards of mid 80’s with oppressive humidity! And Brady was such a calm and well behaved pup.

Although this shoot was meant to focus on the fantastic three, Wendi and I couldn’t help but sneak in a few of just the two of them. ;) How could we not?

Molly & Nick :: The Wedding

Molly and Nick are a super sweet super cute couple. And even though the threat of rain loomed over their outdoor ceremony and photo time, they were all smiles and go-with-the-flow. They are exactly the type of people I love to work with. Enjoy a peek at their day:

Have you ever seen such a beautiful combination of sparkling floors and killer cute shoes?

Nick prepares to await Molly’s walk down the aisle!

And here they come…

Love the summer colors.

You may kiss the bride!

Introducing… the bridal party.

Molly and Nick time…

Congrats to Molly and Nick! <3 Christa & Wendi

Megan & Chris :: Greenwich Hyatt Wedding

Check out the awesome preview of Chris & Megan’s wedding.

The gorgeous details of Megan’s dress..

The dressing of the bride is always a group activity!

Off to the I do’s! View from the front of the church…

View from the back of the church…

Mr. & Mrs. !

Two gorgeous sisters..

Chris does cool exceptionally well.

This was one of the most rowdy bunch of guys I have had the “pleasure” of working with. lol.

I loved that each girl had a unique dress on. It gave the whole bridal party so much character.

And back to the Hyatt to par-tay.

Love this shot of all the guys watching Chris dancing it up with him mom!

Megan and Dad having lots of fun moments during their turn.

A BIG congratulations to Megan and Chris. We loved hanging out with you guys on your big day!

And it would be a complete Dolce wedding without a thanks to my trusty second: The Wendo.

Jenn & Mark :: Candlewood Wedding

I love a May wedding. Specifically, I love Jenn and Mark’s wedding. The day was one of my favorites to date. Such attention to detail, fabulous people, and I can officially say- one of my top wedding venues: Candlewood Inn. Sweetness…

Jenn made a classically beautiful bride.

Mark was all smiles.

The porch on Jenn’s parent’s house was so New England.. had to use it.

The I do’s.

Love this moment…

The dock at Candlewood is a must-have shot location.

Introducing the Mr. & Mrs.!

How sweet is this?

Congrats to Jenn and Mark!

And big thanks to Wendi: second shooter extraordinaire. :)

Emme :: Newborn

There is something amazingly sweet about a fresh, new baby girl… :)

Leah & Matt :: The Waterview Wedding

Let me apologize in advance for the overhaul of photos to follow. After a long winter/off-season, paired with the fact that I was on my April vacation (got to love my teaching schedule!!), I wanted to make up for the minimal blog posts as of late. So here goes!!

The girls…

Leah looked nothing short of exquisite…

Waiting.

Luckily, Wendi got to catch up on the NBA play-off while hanging out with the guys. lol.

This is why spring weddings are fabulous:

Here come the “I do’s”

The Waterview has some spectacular gardens which we enjoyed despite the 40 degree weather! They were all troopers. :)

The Waterview is always so impressive; even more so with the spectacular centerpieces.

I love this moment that Wendi captured.

Congratulations to Matt and Leah! We hope your day was everything you wanted and more.

Seven

Seven kids? All at once? Sounded like a challenge… but really, it was just a lot of fun. These kids rock.

OH- and who knew there were white sandy beaches in Cheshire?

sam and ray :: thomaston opera house engagement

After our amazing Save the Date session, I was a little nervous about being able to top the amazingness in another shoot. But fear not, we pulled it off. ;) We decided to do the shoot at the Thomaston Opera house. A fantastic location for multiple reasons:

1- Ray is one of the opera house’s fabulously talented actors.

2- Samantha and Ray met at the opera house.

3- (selfishly) The opera house is um, about five minutes from my house.

4- The opera house is gorgeous.

5- Any time we get together, we have a blast.

It was tough narrowing it down here, but here are my top picks. Which one is your favorite? :)

Big thanks to Wendi for all her hard work on this shoot!!!

laura

My job doesn’t get any easier than when I have a beautiful little girl who likes to get her photo taken. Laura is one such sweetie pie. Isn’t she adorable?
