sam and ray :: thomaston opera house engagement

After our amazing Save the Date session, I was a little nervous about being able to top the amazingness in another shoot. But fear not, we pulled it off. ;) We decided to do the shoot at the Thomaston Opera house. A fantastic location for multiple reasons:

1- Ray is one of the opera house’s fabulously talented actors.

2- Samantha and Ray met at the opera house.

3- (selfishly) The opera house is um, about five minutes from my house.

4- The opera house is gorgeous.

5- Any time we get together, we have a blast.

It was tough narrowing it down here, but here are my top picks. Which one is your favorite? :)

Big thanks to Wendi for all her hard work on this shoot!!!

laura

My job doesn’t get any easier than when I have a beautiful little girl who likes to get her photo taken. Laura is one such sweetie pie. Isn’t she adorable?

Baby Mady

Joe and I are so excited to welcome beautiful girl Mady into the world, the beautiful little creation of our great friends Mike and Liz. It doesn’t get any cuter than a brand new baby girl!!

Lindsey & Jeff :: Raw Photo Design Lighting Workshop

When Eric & Amber from Raw Photo decided to host a workshop on some sweet lighting techniques… I was in. It was a such a fabulous day with great company, hot models, and lots of learning!

This one is just old-fashioned yummy natural back lighting.

Aren’t those delicious? ;)

Chase

This little guy really made it easy for me to get some great shots; he smiled and constantly looked right at the camera. It was a god-send. :) Here are a couple of my favs! Enjoy!

Love a little tootsie!

Lindsay & Jeff :: Save the Date Session

so, I’m going to totally milk all the non-wedding shooting for lindsay and jeff (since I am the matron of honor!)- enjoy some fun familiar faces. :)

the a-man

I did these photos a while back- but never got around to sharing them! This is the son of my very good friend and fellow photographer, Crista Acosta. Crista and I were having some fun with her little guy when he was all brand-new. :)

Isn’t he delicious? :)

Liz, Mike, and the belly

oh how I love Mike & Liz, who happen to be a big part of both mine and my husband’s life. I couldn’t have been happier to give them this memory of that special time as they prepare for the birth of their little girl. We can’t wait to meet her!!

Kristen & Chris :: The Bond Wedding

What a great way to end the 2009 wedding season- with Kristen, Chris, City Hall, The Bond, and the snow.

If you are going to have a December wedding, one of the things you hope for (or fear) is snow. Well, we got some on Kristen & Chris’ wedding day. Not a ton, but enough. Luckily, we didn’t have to completely brave the elements (since although it was snow, it was a kind of “rainy snow”) because we had the use of Hartford’s City Hall. This is the first time I got to shoot City Hall at night and all I can say is…wow. I typically love and crave some all natural light from my good friend the sun, but I lived without it in exchange for the drama of a nighttime City Hall.

And the Bond did not disappoint either. The normally decadent and gorgeous venue, was looking extra fabulous for the holiday season. Kristen and Chris had a night with a room full of friends and family who were all on the dance floor and showing everyone what a party is supposed to look like!

I had some super shooters with me as well: Wendi and Crista. Thanks girls for an awesome grand finale!!

Let it snow; let it snow; let it snow!!!

off to The Bond…

Everyone loved this band. They were absolutely killer. This guitarist was rockin it.

And I have to end with some familiar faces. :)
